About Us

Our Practice

Noah’s Westside Animal Hospital is the second practice to join the Noah’s group. It was purchased in 1987 from Dr.

Ted Parker, a retiring veterinarian who started the practice in 1959. Since its inception, the practice has been providing complete animal health services for dogs, cats and exotics, including preventive and general medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics boarding, grooming, premium and therapeutic diets and pet supplies. Our goal is to continue to be the trusted resource for the people and pets of the Indianapolis area, providing exceptional care and unparalleled service.

Over the past 50+ years, our veterinary practice has seen many changes, but the one thing that has remained the same is the dedication and commitment that each member of our team has to providing the best veterinary care available to every patient we serve. This is evidenced by our long term affiliation with the American Animal Hospital Association, with whom we have been accredited for 25 years! What this means for you and your pet is that you can count on us to consistently adhere to the highest standards of care with each and every interaction, ensuring that your companion always receives the quality care and individualized attention he or she deserves.

Since taking over the practice, we’ve worked tirelessly to maintain the flawless reputation that Dr. Parker worked so hard to establish. We’ve developed an affordable, highly effective system of care that is designed to meet the changing needs of our patients as they navigate through each life stage. Our goal is to help your pet stay happy and healthy, and to take the appropriate measures necessary to extend his or her life so that you can both enjoy each other’s company for many years to come. Whether it’s a routine wellness exam or a complex surgical procedure, we’re prepared to work with you, every step of the way!

We invite you and your pet to come by and visit our practice, take a tour of our facility and meet our caring, compassionate staff. We believe that once you do, you’ll want us to become your veterinary partner for life! We look forward to welcoming you to our office soon and to serving you for many years to come!

Our Team

Dr. Mark Petersmann

Veterinarian, Medical Director

Science was always Dr. Petersmann's favorite subject in high school and college, and he knew he wanted to help both animals and people alike. Combining these passions with an inquisitive nature, and always looking for a challenge, he knew that becoming a Veterinarian was the right career for him.

When not at work, Dr. Petersmann enjoys spending time with his wife, Alyssa, and son, Hugh.  Their four-legged family members include 4 dogs: a Spaniel mix named Daisy, two hound mixes, Kimber and Penny, and a Rottweiler named Yona), and 3 cats:  Gatsby, Sienna, and Darcy.  He also enjoys cooking, traveling and does a lot of volunteer work for local shelters and rescues.

Dr. Karla Fraga

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Fraga knew at a very young age that she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.  She moved  to Louisiana to finish her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at Louisiana State University, and graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.
She met her soon to be husband at vet school (he's an Equine veterinarian), and they have two adopted pups (Shaggy and Nola).  They will be welcoming another roommate later this year, a baby boy!  When not thinking about veterinary medicine, she enjoys being outdoors, playing volleyball, and traveling,
While attending veterinary school, she was awarded the ACVS Foundation Student Surgery Award for Excellence in Small Animal Surgery.   We are excited to welcome Dr. Fraga to the Noah's family!

Dr. Matthew Heydenburg

Dr. Heydenburg, a Michigan native, joined the Noah's West Side family in July of 2019.  He attended Michigan State University for his undergrad, and  Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine for his DVM.

He enjoys performing surgery but also working up a tough medical case.  When Dr. Heydenburg isn't taking care of patients, he enjoys hiking, playing board games, and traveling.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Heydenburg to the Noah's family!

Dr. Kevin Potts

Dr. Kevin Potts graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine after having been actively involved with many clinical cases which helped to prepare him for his career.  While at Mizzou, he befriended several veterinary classmates, one of whom became his best friend and wife, Dr. Ashley Potts, another practicing veterinarian.  Together they are able to discuss veterinary experiences while growing daily in their dedication to patients and the veterinary profession.

Before coming to Noah's West Side, Dr. Kevin Potts was working as an associate veterinarian in a general practice clinic in Fort Wayne, IN.  Dr. Potts is thrilled to be caring for and promoting the comfort of people's best friends, their loving pets.  He finds protecting and nourishing the human-animal bond to be the best form of service he can provide to others.

Drs. Kevin and Ashley Potts enjoy going for walks in parks and zoos, watching movies and musical productions, and sharing in many similar hobbies; they live with two cats, Selina and Odie, and a Sheltie named Lillie.

Meagan Coyle, RVT

Clinical Manager

Meagan has been with Noah's since November of 2018.  She enjoys her work in the ICU and being a patient advocate, giving them the best possible care.  We are lucky to have her on our team!

When not at work, Meagan spends her time with her husband, Zane, their Malamute, Sadie and American Bulldog, Tyson.

Danny Traub

Team Leader, Client Service Representative

Danny has been a part of the Noah's family since 2014.  He started at Caring Hands, then went to Central, and is now part of the West team.  We're glad to have on board!

He always had a fascination with medicine, and how different body systems work.  Coupled with his love of animals of all species, veterinary medicine was the perfect fit for him.

In his spare time, he enjoys cooking (with mac n' cheese being his specialty).  He is a huge Lady Gaga fan, and enjoys spending time with his friends.  His family includes his dog Jager, a Cairn Terrier mix.

Patsy Campbell

Client Service Representative

Growing up in Indianapolis, Patsy always had hamsters, guinea pigs, turtles, and cats and dogs. She wanted to continue her special bond with animals, so she pursued a veterinary career!

While attending Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Patsy noticed Noah’s was hiring a pet care specialist. She filled out an application, and the rest is history! Now she’s the Office Manager, and strives to make sure every person and pet who walks in the building has a fantastic experience.

Patsy has a Toy Fox Terrier mix named Alie Bama and several cats. She also has a 20-year-old stepson. Patsy enjoys anything outdoors, including gardening and camping. She also likes cooking and spending time with her cats.

Tammy Eavey

Client Service Representative

Tammy is originally from Lebanon, IN and attended Lebanon H.S. She graduated from Animal Arts Academy in 1989. She started working for Noah’s Westside Animal Hospital in 1992.

Tammy currently resides in Indianapolis and is the proud owner of 2 Dalmatians and a Bearded Dragon. She enjoys reading, coloring and attending dog shows.

Jill Ewoldt

Client Service Representative

Jill has been with Noah's since 2016, and has been in the veterinary medicine field for over 35 years.  Her love of animals and customer service makes her the perfect fit for us!

Jill and her husband have 3 children and 4 four-legged kids:  cats Wrigley, Ernie Banks, Walter & Geddy Lee.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening and watching TV.

Lisa Hollingsworth, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Lisa has been a part of the Noah's family since 2012.  Her mom and siblings are both human nurses, and her love of animals lead her to the "nursing" field for animals - which is why she became a Veterinary Technician.  Her favorite parts of her job are dentistry and anesthesia.

Her family includes her husband, Eric, son, Luke and twin girls (who are on their way!).  She also has a Cocker Spaniel mix named Lanie and a Lab mix named Jonah.

Natalie Hulett

Client Service Representative

Natalie has been with Noah's since October of 2017 as a Client Service Representative.  She has a strong passion for animals and enjoys being able to help them have a long life.

Her family includes her husband, a Marine Corp Veteran, 21 year old son (who's an MP in the Army reserves), and 2 daughters, ages 17 and 6.  Her four-legged family members include 4 dogs (Rapunzel, Duke, Baron & Tank), a kitten named Bubble Gum, and 2 birds.  Natalie also volunteers and fosters for Heaven After Hell Animal Rescue.

Carla Pickering

Pet Care Specialist

Carla’s passion for animal care started when she rescued kittens in her grandfather’s barn. Her love of animals has led her to her current position as a Client Service Representative at Noah’s Westside location, as well as her own pet-sitting service which includes rescuing, fostering, and placement.

Carla was born in Beech Grove and raised in Brookston. She moved Lafayette in 1989 and then Indianapolis in 1992. At Noah’s, she takes care of clients one-on-one and also occasionally helps out in the kennels.

Carla has three children, DeAndré, Austin, and Trés, as well as two cats, Alvin and Simone. In her spare time, she loves to write and is currently penning a tell-all book! She’s also interested in Pit Bulls, having owned two and fostered two more.
