NOAH'S ANIMAL CLINIC AT CARMEL
Since 1982, Carmel residents have traveled to Noah’s Animal Hospital at 56th and Emerson, when Dr. Mike Thomas returned to his native Indiana and began building the Noah’s group. His dream was to provide extraordinary pet care and service, establishing lifelong relationships with both his clients and patients. On October 29th, 2013, Noah’s Animal Clinic at Carmel was opened at the intersection of 146th Street and Carey Road to serve the Carmel area under the expert leadership of Dr. Joni Kirch.

dr. christine ostermeyer
Veterinarian, Medical Director
In third grade during career day, young Dr. Ostermeyer announced to her teacher and classmates that she was going to become a veterinarian. She stuck to it, and has now been a full-time veterinarian for Noah's since 2003!
Dr. Ostermeyer grew up in Pike Township in Indianapolis. Her family moved to Florida for two years when she was in high school, then back to Indianapolis. She attended Purdue University for her undergraduate studies and stayed there to receive her DVM from the veterinary school. After graduation, she found the perfect job at Noah’s and has been happy ever since.
As a vet, Dr. Ostermeyer particularly enjoys surgery. She likes working with cats and ferrets. At home, Dr. Ostermeyer lives with her husband, Robert, and their daughter, Ivy, and a group of feline family members. Between work and spending time with her family, Dr. Ostermeyer enjoys boating, gardening, and bike riding.
dr. rhonda katter
Dr. Katter was raised in southern Indiana. She started working in veterinary medicine as a kennel attendant at the age of 15. It was the experiences at Washington Veterinary Clinic during her teenage years that influenced her career choice. Dr. Katter is a 2001 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Since graduation, Dr. Katter has worked for AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited practices in the Kokomo and Indianapolis areas. She joined the Noah’s team in the fall of 2015. Dr. Katter has a special interest in dentistry for dogs and cats. She also enjoys taking care of pets’ wellness needs.
Dr. Katter practices veterinary medicine part-time because she is also a full-time mother of 2. Rylee (born in 2006) and RJ (born in 2009) keep her time away from the office very busy with their activities. Dr. Katter is married to her high school sweetheart, Ryan. Their family is completed by a Weimaraner, Isabelle, and 2 Terrier mutts, George and Mocha. Someday they will find the perfect kitten to fill the void left when their black cat Kramer passed at age 17.
dr. sarah blair
Sarah Schroeder Blair graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999, and then she went to South Florida for an internship in small animal practice at Hollywood Animal Hospital. This 24-hour emergency and referral practice convinced her to stay in the warm weather for 7 years as an associate and intern mentor. Dr. Blair then moved to the Chicago area to be closer to family, and she found a wonderful practice, Family Pet Animal Hospital, located in the Lincoln Park area for 6 years.
A job change sent the Blair's to Dallas, Texas, where Dr. Blair has been working at a terrific practice for the past 3 years. Yet another change brought the family here to Indiana, where they plan to stay! Dr. Blair is thrilled to join the welcoming doctors and staff at Noah’s Animal Hospitals, especially working in the little house that makes up the Carmel location, where she instantly feels at home. Dr. Blair is board certified in canine and feline practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and loves being back at work. She can’t wait to meet and care for your furry companions!
SUSIE CROCKETT, CVPM
Susie grew up in Fort Wayne, and moved to Indianapolis in 2003 after graduating from Purdue. She started working in Customer Service at a veterinary hospital in 1999 while attending college, and soon worked her way up to Office Manager and then Practice Manager. After graduating and working in the corporate world for a while, she quickly realized that the hands-on work with the clients and staff in a veterinary practice was her true passion.
She was encouraged to join a local veterinary managers group and met her first Noah’s employee there. She was soon introduced to the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association and Certified Veterinary Practice Manager Program. Susie worked incredibly hard to master the skills required and earned her CVPM designation in 2006.
She is a Board Member of the CVPM, and is an active member of the Veterinary Hospital Manager's Association and Veterinary Managers Association of Indiana. Susie has 2 kids who keep her incredibly busy, and a dog named Bradley.
Kara has been with Noah's since 2011, and is a vital member of two of our clinics. She's currently the Office Manager of our Caring Hands location, as well as our hospital in Carmel.
Kara is a 10 year 4-H member of Hancock County, where she showed livestock. Her 4-H experience developed her interest in veterinary medicine, and an opportunity became available for her to work at Noah’s. She married her husband in November of 2013. At home she has two cats: Guinness and Sierra, who have so much personality and provide her with plenty of entertainment. They also have a Lab named Pie-a. Kara and her husband have a daughter named Mia and a son named Hunter.
Kara is also very proud of her father who has served several tours of duty with the US Navy.
Heather has been our Groomer since September of 2015. With a love of "all things animal," and anything artistic - becoming a groomer was the perfect fit for her.
She has 3 cats (at her Mom's home), and is the Mom to her son, Anthony (who is the most loving & funniest kid). When not at work, Heather loves being outdoors, reading and traveling whenever she can. We are lucky to have Heather as part of our team!

A 2012 graduate of Harrison College, Krista spent a year at a veterinary clinic in Danville. She knew that being a "hands on" part of the veterinary hospital was what she wanted to do.

jennifer lange, rvt
Jennifer joined the Noah's Carmel team in September of 2017. She had previously worked in a kennel, and when she saw what the Veterinary Technicians were doing, she knew that's what she wanted to do.
Her family includes her Mom, a brother, Steve, Comet and Satin - 13 year old Turkish Angora's, and kitty's Whit and Pig. She is also the proud foster failure of River, a 2 year old pit bull mix.
We are so glad that Jennifer is part of the Noah's family.
Grace started working for Noah's Carings Hands clinic in the kennel, and transferred to the Carmel clinic as a vet assistant in 2015. She has a lab mix named Morty and saved a kitten from the church parking behind the Carmel clinic and named him Rick!
