NOAH'S CARING HANDS ANIMAL HOSPITAL AT GEIST
Noah’s Caring Hands Animal Hospital began in July of 1988 as Geist Animal Clinic. The practice was founded by Peter F. Veling, DVM in a 1200 square foot rental space located 5 doors down from Marsh in Geist Centre at the corner of Fox Road and Oaklandon Road and at the time, it offered only veterinary services. In 1996, Dr. Thomas and Noah’s opened a satellite clinic at 79th and Fall Creek, the purpose of which was to provide veterinary and grooming services to the many clients who trekked down Fall Creek to see us at the main location.
In 2003, Dr. Veling’s Geist Animal Clinic moved into our current location on Sunnyside Road and changed names to become Caring Hands Pet Hospital. In 2009, Dr. Michael Thomas purchased Caring Hands and added it to the Noah’s Animal Hospital group. The satellite clinic at 79th and Fall Creek was merged with the Sunnyside location. At that point, Dr. Thomas and his team officially changed the name to Noah’s Caring Hands Animal Hospital, and we’ve been carrying on the solid reputation of quality care that has followed this hospital ever since.
Noah’s Caring Hands Animal Hospital is a full service animal health care clinic where the people of Indianapolis and surrounding communities can bring their companions to receive complete veterinary care. We are proud to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association, a designation that we believe demonstrates our unwavering commitment to veterinary excellence. Our goal is to not just meet your pet’s health care needs, but to exceed your expectations with each and every visit to our office. At Noah’s Caring Hands Animal Hospital, you’re more than just a number – you’re a part of our family. We hope to see you and your companion in our office soon and look forward to working with you for many years to come!
DR. KAREN ROACH
Veterinarian, Medical Director
Dr. Roach claims she was born with her career choice in her heart—even at a young age, she would play vet with her stuffed animals, sewing them up with her mother’s sewing kit. Now she cares for real pets daily as a Veterinarian at Noah’s Caring Hands Animal Hospital!
Dr. Roach grew up in a small, semi-rural town with many pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, fish, and turtles. She volunteered for a local veterinarian when she used to work at a library. After deciding to pursue veterinary medicine, she graduated from Purdue University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She then started working for the animal hospital that would eventually become Noah’s Caring Hands.
At home, Dr. Roach lives with her husband of 21 years and their two sons. The family has a Golden Retriever named Jack. Dr. Roach’s newest hobby is gardening. She also likes boating, camping, hiking, swimming, and biking with her boys. She’s also been passionate about art for many years—her high school art teacher was upset when Karen told her she was going to become a veterinarian!
dr. edward webb
Dr. Ed Webb has been part of the Central Indiana veterinary community for more than 25 years. After graduating from the University of Illinois in 1985, Dr. Webb did some work with farm veterinarians before relocating to Bloomington. In 1990, he moved again to Brownsburg and then started working at the Stop 11 Animal Hospital in 1992. He purchased the practice in 1996 and built many strong relationships with Indy’s southside community of pet lovers. In 2013, Dr. Webb sold his practice to Noah’s and joined our family.
He has been a blessing to our team as he is comfortable working in almost any practice, on any side of town. We welcomed Dr. Webb to our Caring Hands team in June of 2017.
Elicia’s old chocolate lab, Moca, opened her eyes to the veterinary field when the dog was just 6 months old. She was sick from an infection, and the subsequent trips to different veterinary specialists made Elicia realize she wanted to get into the veterinary profession!
Elicia was born and raised in Indianapolis. In May of 2006, she began working as a veterinary assistant at Noah’s. After three years, she was promoted to Practice Manager for the Noah’s Caring Hands location. Two and a half years later, in March of 2013, she moved to manage both the Noah’s Brandywine and All Pet Health Care by Noah's practices. In September of 2018, she also started managing the Noah's Caring Hands location in Geist.
Working with the caring staff and educating clients about pet care are Elicia’s two favorite parts of her job. Making sure clients are current on every aspect of their pet’s lives is very important to her. Elicia’s furry family consists of Opie, an orange and white domestic long-hair, Java, a tortoise short-hair, and Jasper a Coonhound mix.
In her down time, Elicia enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, traveling and baking when she can find the time. In 2012 she was fortunate enough to go on an Alaskan cruise, where she was able to see wild salmon, bears, orca whales, humpback whales, moose, and eagles!
Kara has been with Noah's since 2011, and is a vital member of two of our clinics. She's currently the Office Manager of our Caring Hands location, as well as our hospital in Carmel.
Kara is a 10 year 4-H member of Hancock County, where she showed livestock. Her 4-H experience developed her interest in veterinary medicine, and an opportunity became available for her to work at Noah’s. She married her husband in November of 2013. At home she has two cats: Guinness and Sierra, who have so much personality and provide her with plenty of entertainment. They also have a Lab named Pie-a. Kara and her husband have a daughter named Mia and a son named Hunter.
Kara is also very proud of her father who has served several tours of duty with the US Navy.
Heather has been our Groomer since September of 2015. With a love of "all things animal," and anything artistic - becoming a groomer was the perfect fit for her.
She has 3 cats (at her Mom's home), and is the Mom to her son, Anthony (who is the most loving & funniest kid). When not at work, Heather loves being outdoors, reading and traveling whenever she can. We are lucky to have Heather as part of our team!

tiffany pike, rvt
Technician Team Lead
Tiffany has been with Noah's since November of 2018. Inspired by her own emotional support animal, she wanted to help prolong the lives of furry family members by educating owners on the importance of routine wellness care.
Her family consists of her boyfriend, David, and their four fur children: Bella, Oliver, Ramsey, and Rico. When not at work, Tiffany enjoys Indianapolis Indians baseball, mountain biking, and large amounts of Netflix.
Sarah joined Noah's in 2016 as a Pet Care Specialist. She is now a Veterinary Assistant and currently studying Biology at Purdue University.
Animals have always been a part of Sarah's life, and with a nurturing nature, veterinary medicine was the perfect fit for her. Helping those that don't have a voice has always been important.
When not at work or school, she loves spending time with her family and her constant companion, Athena, her 5 year old Pit Bull mix.
