FIDO: Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside
FIDO is an all-volunteer group that focuses on helping dog owners to improve the quality of life for their outside dogs. FIDO's specific mission is to help owners find alternatives to continuous chaining as a method of dog containment. They offer guidance and temporary assistance to owners who are willing to work alongside them to improve their dogs' quality of life.

The Brown County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing for the health and well-being of the animals of Brown County. We offer a number of services to promote animal health and education about their care.
Close to Home Pets, Inc. is a private not-for-profit rescue operated primarily by one volunteer who adopts homeless cats and kittens from her private residence in addition to working a full time job. Just since 2005, CTHP has found homes for more than 1,000 cats and kittens that may not have otherwise had a chance. Please do not contact us regarding relinquishment of cats or kittens to our rescue. While our hope is that all cats and kittens in need find homes, our space is very limited and we are partnered with an approved shelter that has many cats and kittens needing homes.
